I was in a situation where I had doubts about what to do next. I realized I wanted to change my life but was so exhausted that I had no energy to think about it. Just kept doing what I did.
It took me a long time to accept a problem I didn’t want to notice because I was a good person.
After realizing the facts of my situation, I started to look for solutions.
I am sure we should build a habit of creating a list of steps to do when we have no energy. It’s easy to follow and remember.
Habits you should have when you have no energy
- Surround yourself with people who respect you and value you.
- Have your productivity tools – plan, analyze, technical tools.
- Create a list of places to go for inspiration.
- Plan a trip – slow travel or small town journey to rest.
- Praise yourself daily.
- Gratitude practice.
- Create a landscape around you with your values, details you like, and interests you test or choose for this moment.
1. Surround yourself with people who respect you and value you.
Toxic people take more of our energy than we think. In my experience, when people envy you, they don’t respect you.
I spent too much of my time and energy to understand them.
I have a simple rule now: If you don’t respect my time and my work, I don’t spend my time on you.
Respect yourself.
Surround yourself with people who value you and feel real happiness when you manage to get your life together.
It’s a “must-have” to check your environment and persons around you.
This habit is especially important when you are in a difficult period of life, when you feel confused and tired.
As a result, you can really relax in your atmosphere and then think clearly to make a plan.
2. Have your tools of productivity. Plan and analyze.
Every situation needs a solution. Every solution needs action.
Organize your actions in the plan.
What is your purpose? This question is the key point before making a plan.
Choose realistic results you can control and affect.
You should analyze the plan to keep what works and ignore useless actions for this situation. This habit saves you time.
Start with the goal.
My goal for my blog is to have 300 subcribers by the end of 2026.

3. Create a list of places to go for inspiration.
You should create a list of inspiration to recharge yourself when you have no energy. Add things and actions you like.
I firmly believe that even a short walk helps to get a fresh look at the situation during the day. A useful habit that is easy to develop.
If you need some fresh ideas, create a list of places to go to become inspired.

4. Plan a trip – slow travel or small town journey to rest
Travel helps me the most when I have no idea what to do next because I have already tried and tested many options.
Traveling by car to a small, scenic town is an acceptable way to rest on the weekend.
A slow trip allows you to see more details in your journey. Maybe one of these details will lead you to a fresh idea or a smart solution.
5. Praise yourself daily.
This is one of my favorite daily productivity habits. I started practicing it only in my 40s. It really helps. Praise yourself daily.
It’s a simple and powerful habit.
Just try.
6. Gratitude practice
Being grateful for everything you have makes you stop and recognize your values. This confession leads to respect for yourself and what you have.
Mindful gratitude practice is a great habit of focusing your mind on what has already been done and achieved.
These outcomes you should be proud of.
It’s your knowledge, skills, and experience.
7. Create a landscape around you with your values, in the style you like, and interests you test or choose for this moment
When you have no energy, you don’t think about creation.
But if you focus your mind on creation, you make it work and look for ways of realizing this creative idea.
Imagine you create a landscape around you in your style. It allows you to concentrate on your feelings, emotions, and interests.
Only you and your environment matter for this moment.
Why so?
You think of details and values you would like to see in your landscape.
Finally, you realize what you want and why. You can explain what need you are going to fulfill with this item or habit in your surroundings.

Final thoughts
Life is full of changes. Sometimes they are pleasant; other times you face unpleasant transformations.
I used to have a bad habit of overthinking every change longer than I should have.
Today I am focused on my goal, my family, my blog, and my work.
I let myself make mistakes, make wrong decisions, and choose methods that don’t work. It’s my experience, and I don’t criticize myself now.
I have a goal, and I work on achieving realistic outcomes on my blog.
Choosing actions rather than overthinking is a strong habit of mine nowadays.
People respond to actions more than statements.
Finally, I created a strong list of my daily routines. It’s not common in every situation, but it helps me reach my goal for today.
Simple habits of productivity. Is this list comfortable for you?
Write in the comments about your productive habit.
P.S. How to get your life together when you have no energy in wartime? Hope you never have to find answers to this question because the war won’t come to your country. I live in Ukraine, where russian-Ukrainian war is still going on. Today is Day 1,633, or 4 years, 5 months, and 21 days of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022.
Stand with Ukraine!
