Do you have a habit of checking whether your surroundings match your real values?
I do now.
And I can assure you, it’s the best productivity tip.
The best productivity habit
For me, it’s important to surround myself with people who respect me.
With this habit, it’s much easier to believe in myself and be more productive.
I can get emotional support from my husband when I’m tired or lack the energy to maintain my work rhythm and achieve my goals.
How people treat you when you feel like screaming with frustration communicates their real values.
So, the best productivity habit is to surround yourself with people who respect you and value you.
Small task for you

Test with background
Look at the picture and answer, please: what is it?

I took a photo of one subject. I put it on various surfaces to have different backgrounds in the photos..
The same subject and 4 individual backgrounds.
As I changed backgrounds, I used “search by image” in Google.
The results of searching were absolutely different every time.
When the subject is on the table, and a table is a background, the search engine recognized this item as:
curtain clips,
crocodile tooth,
furniture accessories,
plasticine modeling clay,
ice sculpture,
paper origami,
Towel as a background:
wax figures on the water,
soap base,
ginger,
dried squid,
pickled onion,
amber souvenir,
face mask,
body scrub
Plate as background:
pickled ginger,
ginger,
dried onion,
pickled cabbage,
recipes,
White paper as background:
squid rings,
pickled ginger
What was in the picture?
Orange. It’s a white orange peel when you peel an orange slice.
Final thoughts
As you can notice from the test, there were no search results with the word “orange”.
I can change the background, but it doesn’t mean the picture will be clear to others.
Unfortunately, the same situation can happen in our lives.
People don’t know what the true person you are.
Sometimes we try to adapt to the group of colleagues in the office, at work, during some events, courses, or learning classes to avoid criticism.
Believe in yourself and don’t let people who make you feel discouraged and doubtful get close to you.
So, create a landscape around you in your style, with your values, habits, interests, and choose details that are important to you.
Let only people who value you into your space.
Surround yourself with people who respect you, especially when you have a period in life when you’re tired, have doubts, and you need to increase self-confidence.
Praise yourself daily for three small actions you did for yourself, while creating a beautiful landscape around you!
